Helios Calendar version 2.1 is now available to all upgrade subscribers within the Refresh Members Site.
You may have noticed things have been a bit quiet on the ole blog lately. Over the last several months we've been holed up in the lab working on version 2.2.
A full changelog for this release is available in the documentation and you can preview 2.1 by visiting the demo. Important changes have been made to the server requirements for this release so we encourage users of older versions of PHP & MySQL to review the documentation before processing their upgrades.

You will not need to re-run the database upgrade script when updating to this final release of 2.1.

The cornerstone of our next release will be a new Helios Calendar API. Our hope is that this API, and it's accompanying SDK (which will be released under an LGPL license), will begin to address the long-standing issues surrounding integration with many of the dissimilarly licensed products Helios is commonly used along side of. Our goal is to address users desire for deep integration with these products & platforms while making it easy for the average, non-lawyer, developer to know they are doing so in a safe, compliant way. To do this we're reaching out to the Refresh Community for help (as always :)).
